I was fifteen at the time and while we were playing one day out in the woods I took a fall of about 20 feet (it seemed like twice that). I immediately went into shock and almost passed out and had to be dragged back to the place we were staying. Turns out a few of my vertabrae and disks are basically swiss cheese now, I recieved no medical treatment for it then, of course; but how could I have, we were several days hike and several days bus ride from the middle of nowhere!

Memories. I was 9 on that trip. I discovered jalebis in Gobind Ghat and ate them until I about puked. I don't think I had EVER had that much sugar in my entire life. After the day detour to the Vally of the Flowers I was effing sick of hiking, I pretty much flat out refused. The result was a donkey ride on the last day to Hemkund after claiming I didn't feel well. Ha! Not such a dumb kid after all.
